Skate Board Park

Cllr Glenn Smith is pleased to announce that the skateboard park equipment is now located and installed at the Oasis. The equipment is being used regular and has so far received positive feedback.

A Nythe resident said, "Cllr Smith has been a great help. It is a relief that this noisy attraction is no longer going to be next to our houses. It makes sense to have it at the Oasis".

Cllr Glenn Smith is pleased that the site has now been installed. Benefits of being at the Oasis are,

  • First Aid Assistance On Hand
  • Toilets Nearby
  • Rubbish Bins with regular Collection
  • Away from Residential Area
  • With other leisure facilities
  • Parking
  • Bus Access

Update Summer 2006: Cllr Glenn Smith recently found out the Stratton St Margaret Parish Council have instructed a solicitor to take the Borough Council to the land tribunal over the covenant at Greenbridge. Why they refuse to listen to residents they represent and continual to waste money like this we will never know. This activity if they continual will likely cost them £10,000 from the Parish Precept!

Update February 2007: Cllr Glenn Smith talked to the Parish and can report they have cancelled their plans to waste £10,000 on the land tribunal. He is not aware of their intentions.
