Help Locally
We are always on the look out for people who are ready and willing to help us get our message out. Whether that is coming canvassing with us, or simply taking a couple of roads worth of leaflets to deliver.
This is particulary important around election times, when we increase considerably the amount of information we are sending out to the residents. Normally we would plan to delivery 4-6 leaflets per year, where as at election time, we might do this in the four weeks on the lead up to the elections.
In addition to canvassing or deliverying, we are always looking for people who on election day could do an hour or two of telling at a polling station. This is simply standing outside and greeting people as they arrive, asking for their polling card number.

If you are able to help us even in a small way, we are always greatful. Even though we have a large majority in votes in Covingham and Nythe and by number of seats in the Council, unlike the lazy Labour Councillors of old who made us a failing Council, we do not sit back when the good times are here. Getting the message out of all the good things we do is very important throughout the entire year but this is a very time consuming task. Even taking one street's worth of leaflets is a huge help. |
